I thought it had no interest on this forum. No RR results as of yet. The REVO stage 3 (K04) software is logged, so far the fuelling is fine on both performance mode 1 and 2, i need to get it in 3 and log there before i get a rr result. Last i logged a friend helped me that has the app. Pocket dyno for apple products, and a 1/4 mile launch gave the following results, (take them as they are, i'll get racelogic as soon as performance mode 3 is in) but 3,54 sec 0-100km/h. 1/4 mile in 11,8sec terminal 182km/h, wheelhp 344. Still i don't quite trust the numbers, but still it's not slow.

Great build!  :congrats: Thank you for sharing the new project here as well. :drinking:

When are the new brakes being fitted?

I didn't know this brand of IC. Dully noted if I ever want to upgrade mine. :happy2:

Well, a lot has happened since the last post, late last year i hit a deer, giving the car a bit of a crocked smile

Also the impact was great enough to deploy the airbags. Both my 10 y/o son and i was okay, shaken not stirred

This meant almost 2 month in the shop, and while i was at it i decided to try an aftermarket front end and 30mm wider front fenders. I'm not sure it's the right decision but i wanted to try, as an RS3 front end cost almost 4000gbp.

Judge for yourself, the plan is to fit the TT mk 2 front alloy hubs (25mm wider track each side) along with the camber adjustable lower alloy control arms also from the tt mk2.

I also found a handsfree solution i liked

And a steering wheel with perforated leather and contrast stitching to match the armrests i have fitted to to the doors

Oh deer!

Sorry, couldn't resist

It's impossible to judge how good the new front end looks until you fill those front arches. Aesthetically you might want another 10mm each side on top of what the TT bits give you. But that might push things a bit far in terms of geometry and handling.

Anyway, at least nobody was hurt. Apart from the deer. Must have been a bit of a shock. It's good to see the project go on!

My summer wheels are 8,5x19" revo wheels which are et45, the will fill the hole better. These rims are oem vw so they have et 51 for a 7,5x18" which makes them sit to far in as well

18mm or so plus the TT hubs then... Yeah that'll do the trick!

Well not much has happened, but fitment of my 4 pot REVO 370mm brakesetup and a vagbremtechnic rear 335mm setup is scheduled to next week. I'm so looking forward to getting some decent stoping power on it.
A REVO intake has found it's way to the engine bay

Now the suns out i really enjoy the colour on it

Other random shots, a new steering wheel with punctured leather and contrast stitching similar to the armrests has also found it's way to the car.

I have an issue with the small triangle on the rear door, anyone here know where to find a DIY to replace them?
Or maybe someone that can putt real carbonfiber on them before i replace them??

The gen 3 first appeared in the A3 with the introduction of the MQB platform cars in 2013, so gen 1 engine unfortunately. I would love to have a gen 3 engine and the new revo TTR hybrid on it :)

Nice brakes and updates!

Any plans to match front and rear caliper colours?

How are the brakes feeling when  in use?

As the front is off my old mk 5 gti, they were red. I would love to get them matched with the black rear calipers.
The front i know and they are great even on a fast track day. The rear are perhaps to big but i hope they will balance the setup and not just be pretty to look at  :happy2:
