I've been keeping my eye on eBay for one, local dealer quoted me £250 for a replacement. Anyone know of any knocking about for cheaper?

I see people are fitting MK6/7 now, however I'm not technically minded enough to mod things to fit.

Mk6's surrounds have the same shape, just not the awful rubber touch covering.

I had a brief look at someone fitting one, and they seemed to have a bit of bother fitting it, had to hear part of it up to get it to fit properly, does that sound accurate?

I still haven't tried to fit my mk6 surround...

I still have a few little jobs that I want done before fitting it.

Replaced my DSG surround trim with the mk6 Golf R and it looks like new. Now it's (more) scratch resistant.
