Out of interest where did you source that r32 bumper with non r32 exhaust hole? Is it the one from Maxton design, been looking into getting one for my gt tdi.

Cheers,

Chris

It wouldn't be fun if it was easy, I just wish it wasn't this much fun.

Hi mate , looking for a way to mount my plate (other than the cable ties that im using now) where abouts did you source this bracket? Cheers, Sam

Number plate bracket turned up but paint was poor quality. Cameo off when you touched it so repainted.

May shorten it so it sits closer to the bumper but allows air into the open grille as it is.

Couple of more bits to do over the weekend.

I got it off eBay but I know the guy that was producing them does not make them anymore.

Had a trial fit of the rear bumper valance this afternoon. It does fit just not that great. Spent a bit of time adjusting on the top and got it to align up. Need to trim the arch liners down and adjust the lower bumper mounts.

Will have another go in the morning and also try the front splitter as it turned up this afternoon.

It is a Maxton design bumper. I got it from ppcgb through eBay as it's cheaper on eBay than there website.

Spent a little bit of time on the bumper today. Trimmed the arch liners a little and now fit the bumper fine. All mounted up now just 2 issues that are a reasonable easy fix.

Looks ok but on closer inspection the bumper sits slightly low above where the reflectors sit.

Will make some packers to sit under the top of the bumper in those parts to lift it up. It does move if you lift it. Will get it dropped off at the body shop next weekend along with the front splitter.

Wow. That bumper transforms the car!  Like the design is finally complete. Brings everything together, almost like its drawn a circle around the car.

Love the car Dubby, great look.

Was it easy choosing the gti exit bumper? I'm really struggling between r32 and gti.

Ive always wanted the car to subtle & nonchalant but people keep saying the r32 bumper should have been on the gti from factory. Plus i got the wiper delete like you and fog lens so symmetry makes sense :S
Ohh how i love this car :s

Keep up the good stuff Dubs

I already have a BCS exhaust and not a great fan of the Edition 30 rear skirt so this is a good compromise.

Went to my mates shop to pick up my wheels. Cannot beat a free set of wheels. Took a bit of time to get to them but got there in the end.

Gave them a quick clean and tried in the centre caps I had got.

Just need to decide what colour will go best with the car now.

They are a bit heavy but not like my car gets used a lot anyway. Plus it's a reason for a remap to counteract the extra weight.

Last piece of my bits for the body shop turned up. Rear bumper but only using the top section.
Split and cleaned up top piece.

15mm adapters for the wheels have been shipped so can test fit the wheels when they arrive.

Is there much difference between the ed30 n r32 bumpers? I thought they were both taller and wider, just the r32 had reflectors.

I love land rover wheels. Those mondials will look ridic on your car.

Vote for silver/monza colour wheels

I personally think the ED30 bumper does not really look much different from a colour coded standard bumper until up close.

Thinking of what colour I had on my old CC for the wheels. Black base with course metal flake over the top. Look dark until the sun comes out and catch's the flake.

Maybe go for a lighter gun metal base with the flake over the top.

Might do a bit of vinyl work on them as well.

I like the idea of the flake.

This car is going to look awesome.  :congrats:

Managed to drop all my bits off at the body shop this morning. Will be ready in about three weeks as he goes on holiday next week.

Got a collection of old bits now.

New look for the next couple of week. Front splitter removed as well as makes it easier when doing the intercooler.

Couple of bits of rust behind there so will get that sorted.

Started on my speaker install so door card removed ready for tomorrow.

Door warning lights installed and coded in.
