Update time...

Decided to bring my grill back to life as it was starting to go grey, such a pain in the arse job but results paid off so well worth doing now & again!

Applied some of this before I went away last week too, just to try & fight the crappy English weather & grit on the roads

Also fitted the boot pop kit a while ago which I forgot to mention, nice little extra for the money.

And then finally I got on to these beauty's, fitted new seals and painted with foliatec Rosso red which is really good stuff..

In progress..

Just need to finish them off with Porsche decals & spray some lacquer over the top, will update pics of them when they are finished sometime this week!

Thanks for looking :)

The grill looks really good and, as you say, well worth the effort.  Mine too has gone that uninspiring grey (which looks terrible against the black of my GTI).  What did you use to get such a good finish?

I used chemical guys tyre & trim gel mate, it's very time consuming to apply but worth it, not sure on durability yet but will see over the next few months!

Hi Martin,

I hope you are keeping well.

Can't believe the transformation of the front of the car just by spraying the grilles - looks bloody awesome!

Have you fitted the brakes yet? Wouldn't mind checking them out. It's an upgrade I'm gonna have to seriously consider being Stage 2 myself. The standard brakes just do not cut it anymore.
Previous motors (in order of succession since 1994):-

VW Golf MK2 GTi 8v
Peugeot 205 1.9 GTi
VW Corrado G60 Supercharged
Volvo C70 2.0 Turbo Convertible
Audi TT MK1 1.8T quattro (225)
Mercedes CLS 320 V6
Audi TT MK1 3.2 V6 Quattro
Audi A4 Convertible 1.8T Quattro
VW Golf MK5 GTi 2.0 Turbo

Hi Rash,

I'm good thanks how are you?

Yeah it's well worth doing the front grills I just used some trim gel on them, looks really good against the red so would look great on yours too!

No not fitted the brakes yet, managed to get the decals on today & lacquered over the calipers to give them more of a shine & to seal the decal in will post some pictures in a couple of days, just need to get some brake pads now!
I will let you know when I've got them fitted & we will have to meet up so you can have a look at them, I think it's a must when your stage 2/2+ you still thinking about getting the s3/golf R brake upgrade?
