Martin's Tornado Red DSG Edition 30

So Friday I took advantage of my boss not being in at work & did my DSG gearbox service, it was last done on 40k & the car is now on 71k so a bit early but makes me happier knowing it's been done for the remap.

Genuine VW DSG oil used along with genuine filter, o-ring & drain plug washer.

I did the top fill method so was very time consuming putting the oil in, took about an hour to fill but being at work and getting paid anyway I didn't mind lol, I also managed to do it all without taking the battery out which was a bonus :)

All in all it took me 2 hours start to finish, very easy job & after driving the car home the gears feel much smoother than before so was worth doing even if it is 10k early!

This is beautiful. Love the spec, not many with sunroofs? And those brakes!

Thanks mate, appreciate it :) loved every minute of owning and modding the car so far. Will be updating at some point in march when I have the brakes fitted!

Thank you :) yeah I haven't seen many with the sunroof at all actually, was quite lucky to find such a high spec example.

Haha the brakes came out a lot better than I expected should look awesome behind the pescara alloys when I get them fitted ;)

Cheers mate :)

Brakes should hopefully be on in march, I've bought the discs & just need the brake pads now, I think I'm just going to get the textar brake pads from ECP as people have said they perform well for the price!

Oh nice one, I didn't realise you had a sunroof on your ed30 always have a look at your build thread but never noticed lol

Quick update, I've recently decided to knock stage 2+ on the head for now and keep the car as it is, reason being I may be putting the car back to standard & selling it in the next few months and don't won't to put anymore money on mods into it.
I still love the car and the way it looks I'm just getting a little bored and I'm missing having a manual tbh the dsg is great but with it being a lot less involved driving the car it's not as fun after a while plus getting the power down these last 6 months over winter has been a nightmare so I can't imagine what stage 2+ is like, definitely getting 4wd next.

Will be putting the Porsche calipers up for sale very soon so if anyone is interested drop me a message, also have brand new elliptical grooved brake discs front & rear to sell separate or as a package with the calipers.

Now that would be amazing lol such a shame the ed30 didn't get it from the factory, would have completed the whole package!

To be honest it baffles me why they didn't. If we look at it car wise (excluding the R32 as it doesn't have a turbo) if they did make it AWD surely it would of made it a better option and direct competitor with the Audi S3 that was out at the time.
