VCDS help for visual parking aid
« on: August 28, 2016, 10:29:14 pm »
I wonder if anyone could shed any light on enabling a visual parking aid on my MK5 Gti.

The car came with rear parking sensors and an rns510 from new so hoping this is possible.

By this I mean when you select reverse you get an image of a car on the nav screen with lines to show how close you are to things.

Had an Audi which didn't do it either and it was a simple change in VCDS to enable it. God knows why though would turn off a feature like that.

Thanks

I do t think the factory fitted sensors on a MK5 golf can do what you want them to. I think you'd need to get the optical sensor kit and retro for it  :happy2:

That's right. I did that to my Ed. 30 that came with parking sensors and a RNS-510 fitted from factory.
