Been while since posting in here...

No pictures to show, but got alot going on on this lately!

The inner rear lights are of for light mod
My engine top is getting leveled, pressure tested and having ned valvue seats made
Having some 986 brakes arriving soon along with rebuild kit and the rattle shims.    Having the NQSBBK rear completed all ready for install just need to get the front kit sorted before the car will have a decent brake upgrade front and rear :drinking:

Also having the last internal bits and some other parts arriving from VW so that my engine FINALY can be assembled and hopefully soon putted into the car! Just doing some research on which turbo to go with.. At first I'd thought the GTB2260 was the choice to go with but since this is a daily driver it will lack boost in the lower RPMs which I wont offer for higher top speed.

Thanks mate, some of us have to go on with the diesel engines so that you 2,0 TFSI guys have some torque spec to be jealous about :D Hehe..

Still travling ETKA for partnumbers to the DSG conversion, guess when engine is all putted together, brakes are all ready to be mounted this conversion will be next to have ready. So that I can install everything at one time :)

:signLOL: - these petrol engines with 500nm of torque are no joke neither - at least for 1.6 TDI  :signLOL:

I hope you will be better prepared then me.
I still have a new starter that didn't fit, a whole Touran diesel wiring loom because of that. The ecu now is sent to get ED30 software, paddles don't work... but I'm still happy with the result. :jumping:
Good to know another crazy man who's willing to get it done.

I’ve found a donor mk5 with same engine code that my Golf has.
Hopefully this will make the job abit easier to complete.

Got a good mate that can sort out the dsg and ecu electronics.

All hoses I’ll buy new from dealer along with service clutch kit and oil service kit.
But have to complete the engine and brakes first. Still have a few orders to do to complete this  hehe..

This car is my wifes daily driver so won’t go all crazy and have this setup run ~360bhp without 4motion hehe. So hopefully a great map that can give ~280bhp without making a bunch of smoke would be awesome :driver:

Also will by putting in a black mk6 Golf GTI/R headliner and pillar trim over the weekend

That is more than enough power :D
Sounds like a great plan, good to have a new clutch as i suspect it will have to deal with more than 550nm.

Not putting anything old on this build. Not even on the engine build. All hoses and small bits are new. Don't like to put back old stuff on if the parts has been taken off hehe :)

Same goes with the DSG, it'll be fully serviced before install for sure :)

When this build is done - hopefully I should never have to haft the car on a lift again while I have it

Just drove my mates GTI with 450bhp and dsg (He made his own dsg map) That thing really wants to move, so can't wait untill mine is done

What about your conversion , any light at the end of the tunnel yet mate?

Yes, hopefully it will be functional again soon.
Yesterday the ECU was sent to receive ED30 software which has the same engine (BYD same as BWJ) but should know about DSG and also a new Stage 2+ remap. They have good results locally. The gearbox has already received MRC software.
Soon...

Loving the work going into this build. If the Darkside turbo kit didn't cost as much as my car is worth I'd have one myself.
