Tautvydas Shadow Blue GT TDI
« on: February 17, 2017, 06:34:11 pm »
Hi everybody, my name is Tautvydas, i live in Lithuania (that's why my english may not be perfect, sorry in advance  ) and i would like to show my Shadow Blue Mk5 GT. It's 2.0 TDI 170bhp, with no engine mods at the moment. Always was a fan of VAG group cars, so Mk5 was on my wishlist. Bought this car from Germany, almost 1 year ago with full service history, 218 000 kilometers (135 000 miles) on the clock.

Car is pretty well equipped:

  • Heated seats
  • Electric folding, auto dimming and heated side mirrors
  • Auto dimming rear view mirror
  • Heated front seats
  • Webasto heater
  • Winter Mode
  • Rear parking sensors
  • Tyre pressure sensors
  • MFD2
  • All electric windows
  • MFSW
  • Coming/Leaving home
  • Cruise control
  • Xenon headlights
  • Rain sensor
That's pretty much it

Right after my car arrived to Lithuania, first "mods" was to change all liquids, filters and timing belt kit, also, car had a problem with EGR valve's cooler, so i had to buy new one from VW dealership.

Other mods that includes exterior and interior so far:
  • LED number plate lights
  • GTI pedals
  • Aftermarket AUX-in for MFD2
  • Full LED interior lights kit

Upcoming mods for spring:
  • LED puddle lights
  • GTI Edition 30 front spliter
  • GTI side skirts
  • GTI Edition 30 rear valance
  • GTI rear spoiler
  • Front bumper's driver side grill (mine is broken)

Time for photos

Car i owned before Mk5, Audi A4 B5 Avant:

First days with the car:

Pedals OEM vs. GTI:

LED's for the interior:

Switching Classix for winter wheels:

I guess almost everybody have that type of photo  :

Had an opportunity to participate in local news website organized event, which had all car of the year winners gathered with their current models (Mk5 was Lithuanian car of the year in 2004):

I think it's the only engine bay photo i have right now  :

Of course my car likes to be clean  :

Current look:

Parts that are waiting for spring:

Sorry for trashy quality photos, i guess my next mod should be new phone  :signLOL:

For the end, some good quality photos from summer:

That's it for now, i hope you enjoyed it, i'll try to keep this thread updated

Can't wait to see all these parts on my car  :jumping:
I agree, that color is one of the best for the Mk5, especially when the sun is around  :happy2:

Hey there!
I've got some news in my garage. Too bad not everything goes as i planned... All parts came out in different color, than the original paintwork, so i left it for another respray  :sad1:
Also, last week changed cabin filter and oil.

And finally, this week had an opportunity to take a dyno run in my University. Turns out that my Mk5 has more than 170bhp  I don't know is it been remaped in Germany or what, but the numbers are slightly higher.

Hello, it's been a while since my last post, but i'm back

Finally i have something to show, front splitter, rear bumper and rear spoiler are already on the car, also changed front bumper's side grill and Classix are back for summer. Due to weather i was not able to put my side skirts, so i hope i'll put them next time i get back to my hometown
So, time for pictures!

Problem with the springs is that I can't find time to install them, but I hope that I'll manage to do this upcoming week   :ashamed:
