Odometer change
« on: February 24, 2017, 09:19:12 am »
Hello guys, just put a new cluster in my car and programmed the immobilizer with vag commander, it's a 2005 GTI and high line cluster but the mileage has gone from 85k in my original cluster to 136k in the new one. Can I just update with vag commander? Channel 7? I've read some horror stories and don't want to brick it.
Thanks in advance.

There is this guide here: http://www.golfgtiforum.co.uk/index.php?topic=201776.msg1877402#msg1877402 from another forum - sorry...

I've not used it so I can't verify it but it looks the part.

Hey guys, thanks for the responses, gave me the confidence to have a crack and it worked straight away. Mileage is now aligned to the ECU!
