Hi All,I thought I'd share my car with you. I purchased the Leon to replace a mk5 Golf TDI as my daily mileage had reduced and no longer needed the perks of a diesel.

My main goal when I bought the car was Lower it, wheel spacers, intake, BTCC spoiler and a stage 1 map.........................Well here it goes!!

My first 2 mods were a Cobra turbo back exhaust with sports cat and an Evolution Motorsport intake.

Rtech stage 2 remap was to follow a few months later. The car made 330bhp/325lbft but unfortunately the clutch started to slip meaning my next "mod" was unexpected and rather expensive. Alex at AKS fitted a Helix organic clutch with a new oem dual mass fly wheel, the clutch pedal was slightly firmer than standard but this gave the car a slightly more sporty feel.

Next up was new wheels; Bola B10's in gunmetal with new Bridgestone tyres and to sort out the ride height at the time I felt the car drove and handled well enough so opted for some Eibach sportline springs. Oh and I also fitted a rhino lip spitter.

A few more styling mods; wing mirror covers hydro dipped in gold true weave carbon, a BTCC spoiler, genuine Seat front and rear mud flaps and rear honeycomb added to the front grill.

I decided to change the cat back system from the standard Cupra left exit to the newer Cupra R twin centre exit, I did this to improve looks and hoping it would improve flow for future tuning work. I also upgraded the brakes using TTRS calipers, AKS 345mm adapters and 310mm rear brakes.

At the time I was working part time (now full time) for Detail My Car in Newbury so I had the opportunity to give the car a well earned multiple stage machine polish and sealed it with car pro CQUk ceramic coating.

I spent a few months enjoying the car/ saving for the next purchases so no real update.

Here is the list of parts I purchased to push the power to the next level, unfortunately this meant the car spent 6months in my garage at home in bits while I was finding time to fit them with a good friend of mine.

TTE420 hybrid turbo
3.5inch relentless downpipe decat
Milltek cat back cupra r
Revo intake
Gen3 RS4 injectors
Deatschwerks lpfp
Loba hpfp
Rtech welly cooler with hardpipes
AKS throttle body spacer/ meth tap
Devils own water methanol progressive kit
Devils own solenoid
Larger Charge, discharge pipes
Aks 155bar Fprv
Forge supersize dv
Intake runner flap delete
Revo engine mounts

After all the parts were fitted with a 3 month wait at Rtech, the car didn't get much use in 2016 unfortunately, but I did treat it to a few more mods lol! 2Forge ZF01 wheels with Nankang NS2R's (now running Michelin pilot super sports), 300mm OMP suede steering wheel with a snap off boss and I had the 3 main dash trims flocked in a graphite colour.

On the morning of the 27th August I set off to drop my car off at Rtech for 2 weeks for a custom mapping session, the next time I was to drive the car it would be 426bhp/411lbft and it felt amazing!!!! All the waiting, swearing, blood, sweat etc etc was worth it! Unfortunately for my wallet I had to buy a milltek cat back and a revo intake as with my current set up the power was maxed at 400bhp.

Now the car was back I could start working on the handling starting with BC racing coilovers, super pro antilift kit and H and R anti roll bars.

Other than a few bits the car is almost "finished"
Hope you enjoyed the read.

I finally found the time to sort out the boot in the Leon I have been meaning to do this for ages sorry about the poor quality pictures the sun was going down as I was finishing up.

A frame rear brace fitted ( flocked in black by absolutely flocked)

New stealth sub enclosure with a 8 inch Hertz Mille subwoofer

Hertz HDP1 amp

And a false floor to hide the amp and methanol pump

 *Update*

As the Leon is nearly
"finished" it deserves abit of a tidy up as it's picked up a few marks here and there from being man handled so much last year.

And here's a couple of pictures of my boot build in the dark.

                              *Update*

You can almost see where all my money has gone

                             *Update*

It's a small picture but the Leon is in the launch issue of vwg magazine .

                               *Update*

I gave the Leon some well deserved attention yesterday afternoon as the front end was completely nailed in bug

                              *Update*

Last week I added a 2nd methanol nozzle to the Leon I'm not sure yet if it's all psychological but the thing feels like a monster again now its intake temps have been massively reduced!!

That's a great read about your project - a good looking car, & great spec! I always remember being impressed my mate's Leon - he must have been as well as he had two as company cars, sadly diesels though! Remember the chassis impressed me compared to my mkiv golf at the time. That said, the FR went well!

Thanks for sharing your project - some great power there. Is that Stuart-88's golf you had before?

It wouldn't be fun if it was easy, I just wish it wasn't this much fun.

Never particularly liked the look of the rear of these Seats, but I think this has changed my mind with that spoiler and bumper. That's quite a spec list you have!
