The absolute BEST all weather tyres?
« on: May 19, 2017, 06:12:55 pm »
What are the absolute best all weather tyres?
I need them to fit the 18inch monza's

I don't really care much about rolling resistance and all that nonsense.
The only thing I care about is:
1. They grip- kind of the whole point of a good tyre right?
2. They're all weather
3. They're going to last at least 2 years (depending how hard I drive)

If someone could make this simple for me and just send me a link to buy them, that'd be great!

I think there is a thread on here somewhere but I couldn't find the info I wanted.

Cars are usally designed to work well with specfic tyres, so use the OE tyre.

Otherwise the Uniroyal Rainsports generally get pretty great all weather reviews.

I've got PZeros on mine, not all that in the wet (just normal) but great in the dry.

I've heard Dunlop RT Sportmaxx 2 were the best all rounder last year. Brother has them and says they're very good

PS4 are great in the wet, almost as good as PSS in the dry, and deal with cold temps (<8deg) better than PSS - in my experience.

The conti sportcontact 6's seem to be getting rave reviews

I had the 5's on my RS4 and the wet grip was unbelievable. Seemed to wear faster than I expected though

I have Avon zv7's on my gti and can't fault them, very good in the wet and haven't had them slip in the dry yet.

as a bonus they're fairly cheap and there quite too!

I've just swapped out some wearing Continental Contact 5's for a new set of Uniroyal Rainsport 3's, they seem quite soft so not sure how they will hold up to wear but grip in dry and wet is incredible, really happy with them

Very impressed with rainsports ive had on other cars, a little bit softer and wear quicker but are a fantastic tyre. Great value too.
