Smoke Through Air Vents
« on: June 24, 2017, 01:16:01 pm »
Hi guys,

Ive noticed a couple of times while my car has been doing a DPF Regen (revs are higher than normal idle, smoke coming from under bonnet, fan is running and when pulling away from standstill quickly theres soot from the exhaust) that theres smoke visibly coming through the middle central dash air vents when the heater dial is set to put air through the dash vents, surely this cant be normal?

How is the smoke from the DPF regen managing to get through and into the cabin via the dash vents, surely that shouldnt happen? Is there something missing or broken in my car on the bulkhead that the smoke is able to escape through and into the cabin?
