Fault codes after fitting sports cat, no EML on.
« on: June 26, 2017, 10:01:31 pm »
Hi, on the weekend I fitted my sports cat and downpipe, all is well and good but ive had two fault codes come up but no engine management light on.

P0139
P2196

I will be getting the car remapped but I don't know when due to funds being tight, does anyone know if this is going to be a problem it's it's run like it for a couple of months?

Thanks.

Both of those are O2 probe faults, not catalyst efficiency faults.   If they are Bank 1 sensor 1, then definitely fix it before driving it.  Probably a knackered sensor, or you damaged the wiring to it when fitting the DP?

If it's sensor 2, ignore it. Get it mapped out.

One of the fault it's saying it's bank 1 sensor 1, which is the front one but I had that replaced two weeks ago so I hope it's not that.

I'm not sure about the wiring as i didn't fit it myself.
