iPad install??

Been toying with the idea of installing an iPad mini in the dash with a single din stereo behind it. What do you guys think? Would this be more hassle than it's worth on a mk5

That would be rather cool. Though practically does it make sense. If you're going out for an evening and park somewhere you'll have to remove the ipad and take it with you. Also not sure on how you'd control the stereo for it but guess someone has done that.
