2.0tdi BKD engine help needed! :D

So.. I've bought an engine to rebuild to replace my current faulty one I drive with now.

However when I removed the sump I saw these parts on it? Anything to be worried about? Can really seem to figure out where these pieces normal should be?  :thinking:

They're rollers out of a bearing/cog so definitely something to worry about  :surprised:

yeah.. But which one though?  :confused:

The lifters in the top have these parts.... Just haven't checked if they are missing from there yet  :sick:

Oil pump or balance shaft synchro? Need to check it tbh as I'm no expert  :sad1:
