Nighteye leds
« on: December 18, 2017, 08:14:26 pm »
Hello just got some night eye leds for my fogs, they work fine but through a bulb out light on the dash,
Shame as they look smart and I’ve herd a fair few people use the bulbs in their main\dip with no problems, and if they looked and worked well I was gonna use them in the main but don’t want another bulb out.
Any cures and why is no one els getting this

Think some sets gave a couple of people the bulb out warning (Mk5 facebook group) they sent them back for a new set and it worked alright so i think it's a bit hit and miss

Might give it another go then,if not just leave them in and get some resistors

Yeah it’s common with the canbus reader in the MK5. They are very stubborn indeed! I changed my fogs to bi-xenon that came with the fault ballast but still it will pick up change bulb on dash. I had the ballast changed twice but still is flagging on my car. I will have to try these Nighteye ones and see if they’re any better!

But yes very common for the bulb fault to come up on your dash

Sounds like a MK5 GTI 💥👊🏽💯

Has anyone put the nighteye's in as full beams in Xenons if that makes a difference?

Are they straight forward to fit into full beams?

Yeah same way as fitting into dipped.

My headlights were off the car at the time of fitting them so not sure about hand clearance when the headlights are on the car.
