Try a metal hanger

I done it with a metal hanger, attach the wire to it and slowly manoeuvre it.
Put some tape on the tip of the hanger so you don’t pierce anything

Metal wire is the one.

Would be good to know how you guys are tapping these in?

Some people have said tap it to 12v feed but I have found 12v is too bright for them as the outers will be dim.

Ive ran the 2 wires into a dimmer so that you can adjust them to match the outers. Same as what Mateyguv did in his youtube videos

Number plate light is 12v

So on mine I tapped the number plate 12v into a dimmer input and then on the dimmer output it goes to the lights.

Let us know how you get on, I know the guy on facebook has made quite a few for people, maybe hes got something on his wiring to lower the voltage that comes in.
