Passenger door
« on: January 21, 2018, 09:24:07 pm »
Hi everybody, I have a strange problem with the passenger door on a 3 door gti. The issue is the lock won’t operate off the key, I have to push a button in on the door but the car also doesn’t recognise when the door is open. No interior light comes on. Electric window works on the switch but nothing else. Anybody got any ideas.

check the wiring in the rubber gator between the door and car or it could be the lock mechanism more likely the wiring though.
Loads of extra's and retro fits.

Cheers I’ll check the wiring. The rubber gaiter is on solidly as the tried removing it last week. Does it come away from the door side or car side.

From the car side, you need to pull up on the little pokey out bit at the top to release the clip holding the rubber to the car, try not to break this or the rubber won't seal back to the car
Loads of extra's and retro fits.
