They're supposed to spray water on the screen and test it  :smiley:

Good news!
Had a message back after sending the photos in, they've authorised the OEM windscreen.( it's the original screen in there so no worries there)
Just have to wait for the fitters to get in touch regarding fitting, which I'm not expecting for a while as it'll probably need ordering in.
I now need to make sure they replace the gel pad  :laugh:

Will report back on that  :signLOL:

No, had to pay £85 excess, but nothing extra for OEM windscreen

Had genuine screen fitted yesterday by National windscreens after authorisation from my insurance company only paid my excess £50 very happy

Hastings insurance, unfortunately the glass company are playing hard to get, they've ordered and received the windscreen but I've still not had a phone call to arrange it fitting.
Not helped by the fact I've been working in Germany for the last 3 days and now it's a bank holiday weekend.
Will try again tomorrow, but not holding my breath  :signLOL:

Excellent, did they change the gel pad thing for the light and wiper sensor?

I had an OEM one installed just before xmas..... already got a stone chip on it.

Can you buy the gl pad thing as since my screen was replaced my auto lights are on in daytime so annoying


Had the ED30, but not got the balls.

My gel pad looks as if its never been removed they told me if its bad they have to buy and fit replacement TPS sell gel pack i think they said £17 plus vat the sensor is £183 plus vat so hope its not that but better value second hand on Ebay

Did the oem screen already have the bracket fitted with gel pack.on for the interior..mirror
