Fault Code P0226- implausible signal
« on: April 15, 2018, 03:02:52 pm »
Hi
Recently I've been getting an engine managment workshop message on the dash along with the glow plug light flashing. Car also goes into limp mode.
A lot of times just before it happens when I accelerate there's a loss of power sort of like a second long dip in power before it picks up again.

Vcds has shown the following
Throttle position sensor (G79/G185)
P0226- implausible signal

Are these sensors located in the accelerator pedal or the throttle body itself? I've checked the wiring and connections to the pedal all seems fine.

Any help much appreciated!

Car is a 2008 1.9 Tdi

Ps: the fault  clears when I turn off and on the car again and might not appear for another week or even a month. Sometimes then it happens everyday. Very strange

Sean.
