« on: July 21, 2018, 09:38:20 am »
Was wondering what’s the best oil I should be using in my car.
I’ve got a mk6 gti stage 1 Apr & DSG remap.
Milltek Non Resonated Cat-Back exhaust “edition 35”, Forge PCV Delete, APR Stage 1 Remap & APR DSG Remap, Volkswagen racing intake, Volkswagen racingline sport springs, Audi R8 Coil Pack, GFB DV+

I use Millers nanodrive 5w40. Its usually recommended with modified VWs. Awesome GTI recommended it me. They burn oil like no tomorrow. With this stuff in, it burns much slower.

I would just use a 5W40 Mobil 1 personally.

Millers Nanodrive is generally recommended for the EA113 because of it's flat tappet pump follower.  MK6 engines have roller followers, so anti-friction additives aren't necessary.  Besides which, Nanodrive isn't VAG approved, and personally I wouldn't use an oil VW haven't tested and approved.  If you want a NanoDrive equivalent with factory approval, go with LiquiMoly Molygen 5W40.

Would Castrol Edge Titanium FST 5w-40 be ok to use in my car??

My hand book states I should be using oil marked VW 504 00, the stuff I’ve mentiones here has VW 502 00 & VW 505 00 marked on the label??

Any help would be appreciated last thing I wanna do is put the wrong stuff in it!!!

502.00 is for fixed interval services, and 504.00 is long life. 5W40 and 5W30 respectively.

502 is fine mate and should be used in a remapped car anyway because of the extra blowby clogging the oil up.  504.00 is technically a better specification but you can only get it in 5 or 0W30, which is bit on the thin side for power hikes.

Ok cheers for clearling things up mate, I’ll go for this then as my car is running on stage 1 APR & DSG remap and following what your saying it’ll be better using 502.

No worries.

The Castrol is a good oil.  If Bugatti specify the 'Supercar' version of that oil, it's gotta be good!
