software version for bluetooth streaming info
« on: July 28, 2018, 07:09:31 pm »
I have a 7p6 035 730 M BT module with SW4217 HW16

And an RNS 510 P/N 1T0035680P with SW-version 5269 HW version H03

All I get in BT audio displayed and no options to shift tracks etc (only via phone) which is not ideal.
Just thinking is it oldish software stopping the RNS from this supporting this function?

thanks

It's weird. I have an older BT kit on my wife's Golf with a RNS-510 rev P. It manages well BT-Audio, just like my Ed. 30 with a RNS-510 rev R and the same BT kit as you.

What phone do you have? Old or new?

iPhone 7, the thing streams okay, but cannot shift tracks via the car, it’s bugging me!
I don’t know whether to try a J BT module or update my software, just don’t want to brick it!!

Contact @olsen-72, for example. He should be able to update the firmware without bricking it. I have an Iphone 8 and can’t remember having any issues with the BT-Audio.
