Retrofitted MFSW and now PNDRS flashing
« on: October 18, 2018, 09:56:00 pm »
Hi all

Fitter MFSW into my brothers car today and all went fine. Coded it all okay and then noticed the DSG gear numbers flashing on the highline display. Had the following fault codes appear on auto trans and steering wheel modules in vcds:

00194 - ignition key removal lock
012 - electrical fault in circuit

And

00194 - ignition key removal lock
008 - implausible signal

We fitted a the control module that came with the wheel (guy who sold the wheel sold the module with it) - could this be causing the flashing on the display?

I've read people online say it is a mechatronics issue - but the cars just had a DSG service done, there has been no faults with the gearbox at all and still drives absolutely fine going through the gears seamlessly (sport mode and manual mode all work ok).

I'm tempted to fit the old wheel and module back tomorrow to see if fixes the issue and then leads me to think it might be the module.

Any thoughts/ideas?

Thanks

I'd refit the old and see if that helps, usually faults occurring straight after fitting new parts are not just coincidence.
