DSG jerky change from 1st to 2nd
« on: November 07, 2018, 10:15:19 pm »
So im getting a jerky change form 1st to 2nd. Its fine if I drive slowly, but put my foot down and it feels like theres power loss between the changes? Also when setting off from stand still it like its struggling sort of, slight judder. Other than that power seems fine.

I thought my DMF was going as I had a rattle sound I when idleing in D, but I think it was the engine cover as when I put my induction kit on that rattle seems to have gone.

Sure it's not just a knackered gearbox and/or dog bone mount?   I've seen many times in both MK4s and MK5s a knackered gearbox mount (the one under the battery tray) causing these kind of symptoms.

Ah ok, really hoping its the mount as I just got the DSG serviced a couple week ago. All seems smooth apart from that. How can I be certain of if its the gearbox or something else? Is the mount a DIY?
