I struggle to get 6.0 secs dead on my stage2 ed30.

Decent tyres and see sub 5.5secs and a good road surface to practice imo!!

yea ive got the performance box, can they do 1/4 mile too ? i cant find the function

You need to set the distances to 660' and 1320', which will give you 1/8th mile and 1/4 mile times :happy2:

Reset when you are at a standstill.

its a manual K03 i have, so i dont think ill be getting sub 14s, im sure the best time on the leader board is 14.2, but that would be good if i could, i quite fancy the 888s but im not sure how they would be on the road ?

You would be better with TOYO R1R's, same compound with a little more tread cuts in them to give better wet handling. They are also quieter than R888's on the road. Ultimately they have about 90% of the dry grip of R888's and 150% better grip than R888's in the wet

Hurdy  :pomppomp:,  I'm not being weird here at all but how can a stock GTI dsg do 60 in virtually 5.5 secs ?  Arent stock ED30's around 6.6 - 6.8 secs ?  :surprised:  Am I missing something here  ?

Mine is an ED30 manual of Stage 1 'type' tune, no exhausts, filters etc.  No idea of the 0-60 though.  I took a mate out last week and he said it was ballistic   :jumping:!!

VW driver quote 5.9 seconds to 60 for a stock ED30 DSG. Mine did 2 passes at GTI International that day at under 5.8 seconds with the 5.66 being the quickest. Also there was another ED30 there on the same day which did a 5.69 as stock to 60mph. :happy2:

I also have a slip for 5.0 seconds at York raceway. This was done on R888's, but before the engine mounts, Quaife diff and about 30bhp short of what I'm running now.  :happy2:

and a pic of the sheet of my run at Inters..

I never collected my runner up trophys from Inters 2008  :sad1: Think I left after being livid when Regal on their last run went and pipped me by 0.01 of a second on both 0-60 and the 1/4 mile (5.05 / 5.06 and 13.50 /13.51). Bloody lead all day in the Mk5 class as well until about 4pm.  :fighting:
He did have about 70bhp on me though and was running all day. Don't think i'll be battling for 1st this year though knowing some of the monsters that are coming..  :scared:

There are at least 6 cars that I know of in the MK5 FWD class that should be easily under 13 seconds if it is dry. Don't know if they are all going on Saturday and/or Sunday though. All should do around 5 seconds to 60 too.

Mine
Steve Jr at Statllers
Craig at Statllers
Jabbalads at Jabbasport
Jonnyc's old car - just been to Statllers
Regal's MK5 car may still turn up

I've been in a daze all week trying to push Steve Jr's Hybrid K04 car towards Noble's Dyno to get a direct comparison with mine

Well Stage 2 is only about 10bhp more than Stage 1, so won't be a huge difference between them. But low 5's high 4's in a manual and mid 4's with DSG and launch control I would of thought..

the stage 1 isnt about the .60, the biggest difference will be in the mid range once in 3rd id bet
