@neilw I got the Brembo TTS 340mm discs as advised by @Shoduchi

Really impressed with the coating on the vents and around the centre. I’ll put all the part number when I update the other thread, but the discs are part 09.9771.11

Cheers

Cool, thanks those were the ones I was going to get. Seen them for just over £100 for the set. Good to know they seem good

Good stuff Pot of stew, let me know how the pedal feels after they've bedded in.

I also have a set to go on (well, the Performance pack calipers and Clubsport S discs) but I've been lazy and I'm still torn about adding so much extra unsprung weight

OK...I will ask...do those pads actually meet the inner diameter of the disc surface? Because it appears there's quite a gap from the inner diameter of the disc surface and the inner edge of the pads. Quite possibly just the pic angle interfering I suppose.

Does this picture answer your question?

I'd say i noticed about 5-7mm when fitting them. I'll post a pick when I have a wear mark.

Eddie passed his MOT :happy2: Hooray!! New style MOT certificate... not sure I like it.
Two advisories with an uneven rear tyre wear NSR (usual Mk5 issue) and a small pinhole in the centre rear exhaust box.
Both will be attended to in next month or so.

It must just be the picture as my 340mm setup has good pad coverage:

No need really. I think it was a brief photo-illusion. I just looked again and what I saw yesterday is actually the radius bit on the center span of the carrier.  Yesterday it looked like I was seeing the disc through there but it is the carrier and not a hole. Yikes, blame my 56 yr old eyes.

Thanks, not trying it until tomorrow, but looking forward to the noises!

I got a hose clip from Motorworld, had to order a bigger one for the other end of the pipe. You were right about getting the pipe off the turbo, annoying!

Gave mine a wash and wax today...

Going back to VW tomorrow. It had the abs recall work done a few weeks ago, and I got a call last week saying they need to do another update. It was the dealer that called. Anyone else had this?
