I know rusty arches has been done to death but I'm a little sad!

I washed my car and saw this on my front drivers side whee arch.  I know it's only a tiny tiny bit of bubbling, but I've taken a photo to see how quick it progresses.  I'm holding out for it being a few paint splodges that I haven't noticed over two years... :(

AGGHHHHH I can't figure out how to upload a photo.  Does anyone care to help?

Had an oil service plus new plugs and red coils. The brakes were overhauled with Endless Mx72 pads / steel hoses / bronze bushes / ATE fluid and the restrictor removed from the clutch bleeder block. Will clean the MAF / cam timing sensors over the weekend and also give it a machine polish and waxing.

My Euro Spec xenons arrived today from Germany, and I swapped the shrouds out to my UK spec shrouds, bulbs don’t seem to be fitting right so I’l going to get new bulbs anyway as one bulb was done anyway

Could you tell me what's involved in this change? I've got problems with my drivers side xenon (auto levelling doesn't work) and have a brand new drivers side unit but is LHD unit with functioning motor. I was hoping to make a functioning RHD unit out of the two!

Many people say even flicking the 'travel abroad' switch doesn't alter it enough for UK use but in regards to being legal and mot friendly is anyones guess.

For my conversion I bought a set of destroyed uk xenons but with the actual xenon projector in good condition, and just swapped them it's just a matter of unscrewing 4 screws in the headlight, about a 10 minute job just need some tiny and long torx screwdrivers.

You could also go down the route of upgraded projectors I know EMS Tuning build, rebuild and upgrade them but at what cost I don't know.

Since you use Flickr (as I do) see this link. You may not be able to access it without signing in though.

If you can't see the last link, then the gist of it is that you need to select BB code and this is only available on Flickr's website, not their mobile app.

Treated her to a wash and polish from the good people at Tesco ... not looking too shabby for a 13 year old car, and driving her always puts a smile on my face!

new indicator lens in the wing mirrors as the originals were hazy. Hoover and snow foam and two bucket method wash. Splashed the cash on a £1 jelly bean air freshener.

Changed my throttle body after getting throttle sensor errors. It’ll clear but will come back after 2-3wks.

Got a revision Q from eBay only to realise there’s a revision T.

Not an easy job, especially the two bolts at the back are a pain.

Car feels a lot better now.

I had a new throttle body last year, along with refreshing the ECU to pair with the new TB.

Since then (probably 12 months ago now) the fault (3 dash lights and limp mode) has come back twice. Limp mode goes away after one re start.  All three lights go away after two, and it's back to normal.  The garage have checked the ECU again (sent of the a specialist) and checked the throttle body, both which are working.  They put it down to possibly a loose connection, and never sorted it.

At the minute as it ahs only happened a couple of times in a year, I am leaving as is as it doesn't actually cause me an issue, but if it becomes an issue could what you state be the culprit... i.e. having an old model TB in?

Couple of little bits done;

Got a new Edition 30 glovebox trim as the original was dented.
Bit of Koch Chemie Plast Star on the faded grill brought it up like new. Meant to be better than Gtechniq C4, worth a punt at £12.
Ordered the last of the screws and fixings for headlight autoleveling brackets.

So, last night my clutch violently sh*t itself, rocked the engine so hard it popped the bonnet and sheared the oil-filler neck. Fun times. It's at the garage for quote, but I won't have it for at least a week because most people there are on holiday. Luckily, I only live 20km from work, so cycling in the rain is an option!

Did the wheels lock up or something?  That amount of force can't be good for the engine mounts and gearbox!  Might want to get those things checked whilst it's there!
