I've only had my car for 6 weeks so still sorting out a couple of little niggles.  Yesterday I replaced the roof mounted interior light switch unit.  The switch on the old one had given up the ghost.  I noticed the new unit only has the 2 round map lights and not the centre one.  I guess the new version draws less current so lasts longer (hopefully for the life of the car).

I also updated the firmware on my MFD2 stereo and get a 2016 map disc.

Next job is to get the rear drivers side window working.  VCDS reports no communication from the door module unit so I guess it needs replaced.

Did you use just the one kit for both lights?

Cracked open the wiper bay under the scuttle panel to get at the CanBus and I find the K variant (1ko907530k) which is a pain in the arse for upgrades as although I can source the updated version, I have no vagcom and the local dealer had no clue what I was talking about when looking for a quote to code it.

That's something that any VAG enthusiast with a Vag-com cable can easily do or a VAG specialist mechanic, maybe. Check the topic of the Vag-com locator to see if anyone near you can help.

Thanks

Nah just put some in the relevant pics thread bud, just like to see different angles of the splitter and what it is from?

Also just did my cam follower with the dreaded banjo bolt and wasn't too bad, managed to get in with a 3/8 drive triple square fixed socket and a knuckle joint adapter thingy but I found a ten mm ratchet spanner and that fit over the actual m8 triple square bit so tightened it up with that.

One thing I did notice is that you need to push the banjo bit up when trying to get the bolt in, I believe this is perhaps how people cross thread them occasionally.

The cam follower wasn't in terrible condition but it was up for replacement, so glad I've changed it now and the car seems better  but that's probably just in my head, there was a bit of creamy gunk in the pcv, is that something I should worry about ?

I'll post pics of the follower later.

Might fit my Forge TwinTake tomorrow if I can be arsed.

Thanks to everyone for their help and info  :happy2:
