Just fitted my new revision R PCV and new gasket.  Picked them up at my local TPS for just over £60.  10 minute job really, although spent a bit of time cleaning up some gunk/mayonnaise type build up.  This was worst at the far right of the PCV as you look at it from the front of the car, quite a bit in the connecting pipe too, just wondered if this is normal?

Was going clean my engine bay afterwards but the heavens opened so that will be next weekends job.   :happy2:

Short journeys normally cause mayonnaise if I remember correctly, not being able to warm up etc or something like that anyway.
Take it for a blast now and again, the car loves it

Cheers @MIJ_JAGGER seems about right, the car does under 100 miles a week, always short journeys.  Will be getting a good blast soon so that will help.  Thanks again  :happy2:

Installed a VW approved Kenwood DNX525DAB,

Bought and fitted a K&N Typhoon intake,

Removed the pre-cat (No Pic), removed my back box to let my R32 style pipes breath a bit easier!

Also bought a full R32 front brake set up which I haven't fitted yet but will over next weekend weather permitting! Got stuck into refurbing them straight away and I think they turned out great. :happy2:

Just saved all photobucket pics since they no longer allow sharing/3rd party hosting. Cannot believe how many pics will no longer show up on hundreds of posts in five forums. I've heard flickr will work...

Had my headlights 'light smoke' tinted. Thick film to protect from stone chips

Any impact on light intensity? Looks very nice. 'to protect from stonechips' yeah, right, LOL

I remember when I was a 'young un', I had a white full face helmet with a black visor on it. Looked cool, but couldn't see sweet FA at night, ha ha :slap:

A bunch o' things done today....

Up first, fitment of a Tyrol Sport turret brace.  Probably don't need it as the MK5 is a stiff shell to begin with, but I liked the look of it and thought - why the fruiting hell not, eh??   I'll report back if it does make any difference when I've driven it.

Up next, being a daily car, I was tired of people catching their shoes on my sills, so I threw down a strip of protective vinyl on both sides.  Can get away with it on a black car

And then I thought I would tackle some scuff marks on the leather with possibly the cheapest method known to man!

Slight scuffing, but looked worse in off camera:

So I took a punt on this leather shoe cream I found on Amazon (£4), which as luck would have it, is EXACTLY the same colour as the car leather:

Rub it on, rub it off, no more scuffs:

Cheers buddy.  Erm, yeah, the brace does make a difference.  Feels like it's gone up a mm in rear ARB size.  Niiiiiiiiiice

Hmmm.. I think I might have to invest in some of that leather stuff @Pudding

It's turned out nicely!
