Nothing done today, but was asked today by a complete stranger if I wanted to sell him my car.   No chance

Good job.  I would have sprayed some zinc spray on those bare hubs personally as they do like to rust!

I did
Even put some anti seize on the hub bolt cap/cover edge as that seized too when trying to remove the old one

Good man  :happy2:  First time I took my rear wheels off after buying the car, I had to hammer/kick the damn things off because of corrosion!!

Just fitted the RS3 air ducts to my S3/Passat front control arms. I used the following part numbers:
-vent: 8P0 863 149 A and 150 A
-bolt: N104 222 03 (x2)
-nut: N 907 611 02 (x2)
-aluminium tube from the RS3: 8P0 864 133 (x2)

After torquing the bolts and nuts there's still a bit of wiggle in the vent. Anyone else has done this and know that it's expected to be this way? 🤔

I preferred to remove the OEM dust shields.

Do you know how much of a difference these make?

Rear brake job as the pads were down to 4mm.  I don't like wearing them right down at the back as the calipers are pretty crap for lifespan when that happens.
I didn't realise VW did 'eco' pads.  Half the price, but half the bite I expect, so stuck with GTI ones, which are made by Ferodo.

I also bought a pair of shields to replace my rattling ones, but didn't realise I had to remove the bearing/hub assembly to fit them   Annoying as I'd already done the hardest part - removing the caliper carrier bolts - before coming to that realisation!   So instead I opted for a repair washer for now.  I'll save the shields for when I do the rear discs and have a pair of bearing bolts to hand.

Fitted stiffer Eibach coilover springs.  425lb/inch at the back and 450lb/inch at the front.  Surprisingly no loss of ride quality, but flatter cornering

Installed rear euro outer tails and wired them up as they would be if the car wasn't sold in NA.  Added a euro badge to the front grill.  Rear fog on order.
