Xenon oem, side light bulb part number
« on: August 24, 2011, 05:01:06 pm »
Hi im looking to change my side light bulbs to the original side lights, but without asking the dealer who will probably get it wrong what is the part number i need? Im presuming there different to the normal halogen light side lights?

I currently have blueish side light bulbs which came with the xenons that i had retro fitted. Which look good however i feel they are trying to replicate audi daytime running lights to much.

Thanks Stephen.

I bought the xenon lights of greeners, and he had already installed the LED side lights see link:

However this keeps throwing up a bulb out error, however once you turn on the lights, the side light comes on and clears the fault, im basically looking to get rid of this minor problem.
I was thinking that changing back to normal side lights should cure this. However i have read that led side lights without the correct resistor can cause this problem. However its puzzling why one side works perfect whereas the other throws up a side light bulb is out  :scared:

Maybe i need to start another topic on getting rid of this problem

There are some LED lights that are meant to be can-bus friendly but through up the bulb failure lamp on the dash as you have. I fitted the ones in the post above and these do not come up with any errors. If you go to the normal bulbs the lights will look yellow and it is well worth the extra going to LED in my opinion.
