Yes, but they have been going for a little less money lately

Yes.
But keep in mind they're as good, but not the same as R32/S3/Cupra.

the dust shields are bigger than the ones you have on. They arent very expensive to buy new
Whats the difference then with these apart from teh retaining springs if you dont mind me asking Bruce?

What's different to the S3/Cupra/R32 setup??

Over the top mod list ;o)

No difference other than being even heavier than the R32/Cupra version thanks to the extra little 'triangle' casts on the calipers, still it made the Audi lot feel like they were getting bigger brakes and a bit more for their ££s

340 mm to 345 mm dia and different offset - you cannot mix parts between TT and S3.
But both work fine on a GTI. Don't worry about 5 mm difference in dia. Just keep in mind
S3/R32 brake parts are more common and sometimes cheaper.

Performance wise identical to the R32/Cupra but as The Bruce has said they use 340mm discs vs the usual 345mm, they also use different pads.

Also, they are actually lighter than the R32/S3 setup by 1.5kg per side :)

The venting is on the outside of the disc opposed to the inside on the r32 discs.

After having a drive of my pals TTS i noticed they were less grabby than my Cupra 345mm brakes, both with stock discs and pads. This may be more to do with pad material though . . . . .

Guess you're right, Jon.

The venting is on the outside of the disc opposed to the inside on the r32 discs.

????

The air's entry in on the inside and it leaves the rotor on the outside edge.
On every rotor. Or did I get you wrong? Pardon me i I did.

Jon-TFSI means the side that the fins are exposed on. Here are two pictures, first a TTS disc  and then an R32/S3. It is hard to see but you can see the TTS directs air into the fins from the front but the R32/S3 is 'sealed' at the front and allows air in at the back face. :)

Interesting!

Seems a lot of hassle for nowt really when they already had 345s in the parts bin.
