Sweet jeebus, I'm loving that... the lowered stance, the roof rack, the towing-eye, the blacked out sidemarkers... that's hard core.

OZ wheels on that too.

Those towing-eyes are aluminium and come from Taiwan. I don't know how good (strong) they are - Please educate me.

I've been painting my VW ones tonight - I was so tempted to paint them pink!

I was actually wondering what black wheels would look like on my motor. I've come to the conclusion - they could indeed be quite sweet. Swap my 19s for some nice black 18s then maybe...  :chicken:
I've kept meaning to paint my tow-eye red and drill a hole in my fog grille to fit it, but am a bit concerned it would come off looking as if it was trying a bit too hard. Maybe still though...

....I was at Brands Hatch today and in chatting to one of the VW Cup teams I was told that track cars absolutely have to have them both front and rear now to pass scrutineering. Also, I know that even for trackdays, not just races, at Spa and probably other European circuits you have to have them. So if you track you may not have any choice - Helps protect your car slightly if a crew have to dig you out.

Rather than hijack this thread I'll start a new one on the subject after mine are sorted next week - There are lots of solutions and I took lots of pics of various tow eyes today!

^ Reminds me a little of the new R20. Very nicely modded anyway imo.
What wheels are those?

Usually I just pull out a grille and screw it in if I'm on a track day. It's the whole leaving-them-in thing that 1) looks cool and 2) concerns me that it might just be trying a bit too hard - it is just a Golf, after all.

Anyway, moar DBP please.

Rare as rocking horse sh*t sunroof

Dont like the shiny mirrors though, darker brushed look would suit or carbon wrap!

I am not a fan of shiny mirrors usually but they work on that car with the wheels and mask.  :happy2:

Is it a yank car.
