Detail My Ride - DBP GTI
« on: October 01, 2012, 07:54:04 pm »
Hi Guys!

A quick fire write up for this VW Golf GTI in Diamond Black Pearl which we carried out an Enhancement detail on. It was carried out over a few days, the owner dropped the car to us after travelling down from Leeds so it was done in between other cars, so limited pics i'm afraid!

A few correction pics from around the car, including the usual problem areas such as gloss black trim etc which are commonly very scratched on these cars!

The front end was peppered with chips and 'rash' and we were asked to see if we could concentrate on this area, correction stage cleared a lot of this up and left a big improvement!

Before:

After:

Before:

After:

Some scratches around the door handle...

Before:

After:

Rear lights...

Before:

After:

Not forgetting the tight areas around the badges...

Before:

After:

Gloss black trim...

Before:

After:

Following correction and refinement, LSP used was Dodo Juice Purple Haze, interior was also detailed as well as the usual extras wheels, tyres, exhausts etc.

Finished results!

Thanks for looking guys!

Comments, questions etc welcome as usual!

Nathan & Gaz

Cheers Nath, it looked a lot better after! I've since given it another coat of wax. I was a bit scared of washing it tbh! Lol

Wow, the front of this car is exactly the same as mine with the stone chips. What did you use to treat them? Wet sand or DA by chance? I want to do the same

We didn't wet sand on this one, but did use a combination of Rotary and DA with various pads and polish's.

Get yours booked in if your car needs the same treatment!

Love it!

The GTI isn't just a machine. It's very much a living, breathing thing.

That first "Before" picture could be mistaken for my car! What kind of damage (wallet wise) are we talking to have it put right?

I understand the actual cost will be based on you seeing the car but would like a ball park figure if you can.

Thanks.
