As a keen Williams fan, would be interested to see how other people rate the team's chances? Will the Mercedes engine be any good? Is the chasis a major improvement over last years effort? Will the big changes to the staff pay off? Was signing Massa a master stroke?

Would be interested to hear views of others!

Interesting this one isn't it mate. I think the Mercedes engine is going to be strong, however I don't think they'll be a top team just yet. Maybe a year or 2 when they've found themselves. I personally think they've signd a great driver in massa, outpacing alonso in much of the 2nd half of the 2013 season and seems to be coming Back strong after his downwards part of form from his horrific accident. Heard a few sources say Williams could be the dark horse this year so lets hope so :drinking:

I'm really looking forward to this season, despite some "irregular" looking cars, it's good to see a bit of variety and some do genuinely look good. My favourite is actually the Sauber.

Obviously, much of the attention is on the noses but there are so many unknowns with all the new engines and the unlimited ERS; it will be interesting to see who has the power and reliability. Cooling will be one potential pitfall for those who have been aggressive with the side pod aerodynamics.

Further to my post about Williams last month, it was really good to see them have a decent test in Bahrain. I know its difficult to gauge a teams performance during testing, its hard to ignore that the Williams car was consistantly at (or very near) the top of the timesheets as well as number of laps completed.

It genuinley looks like they have learnt from all the mistakes from last season and have left no stone unturned. I think the catalyst for all this positive change has to be the appointment of Pat Symonds who has made changes to the team in every area.

I carry genuine hope for Williams coming into the new season and it would be amazing to see them back on the podium on a regular basis again. A good British team with decent British Engineering showing everyone how to pick yourself up after falling!

I believe they wil be unveiling their offical car and livery with the Martini being the new title sponsor this Thursday - Can't wait!! Maldanado can keep his Venuzuelan oil money!!

Yeah I agree rich, they were very close to the top. Be a good way to turn your nose up at Ferrari for massa too after they flogged him off. Like you day you can't tell exactly what's going to happen from testing, but one things for sure and that's red bull Arnt number 1 as things stand. Vettel 4seconds a lap down on quickest Hamilton, and mechNical failures for. The red bull. I have no doubt that they will come back with a new invention or something but for the first 3-4races I think they will struggle

Let's see if McLaren can mimic that

Sound is VERY different and as mentioned on commentary, you can now here the comms between drivers and the pit.

Race was fairly dull, chuffed that Rosberg won it, really REALLY pleased that Ricciardo hung onto second and those Macca's of Magnussen and Button look to have the pace this year.

Nice to see ze other German not finish!
