I got both my Nightbreakers and my philips side lights from Euro car parts. Tell em your trade and get the discount. You may be able to find em cheaper on Ebay but for ease I just went to euro's as there's only a quid or two price difference and you get em there and then! Nghtbreakers where like £16 and sides about £4.

Well yeah technically, anything more than 55W is illegal on UK roads.
But they are not as bright as xenons, and the blue coating keeps a lot in, only about 20% brighter than the MTEC 55w I had in before. I used to find overtaking cars would cast my headlight beam into shadow as they passed, that only happens with xenon cars now.

You might find those Philips very yellow as they have a kelvin rating of 3700k. I opted for Philips WhiteVision which are 4300k look whiter at night (look a bit yellow-ish in daylight) and are a nice compromise good light output without looking to yellow

osram nightbreakers very good , white light

I can second that. Such an improvement on standard lamps.

I've got these too. Not tried the others mentioned, but happy with mine and found a good deal on Amazon.

Osrams lasted for 2 year and i sold the car with them still in so could of went on longer.

The MTEC 100W completely exploded, so I now have loads of bits of blue glass inside the headlight  :fighting:
Noticed they have stopped selling the 100w H7 ones at the mo.  :popcornsoda:

another vote here for nightbreakers. I had the MTEC's before but the light output wasnt really good. It was just a bit bluey thats all.

So :-
1)Phillips exteme vision plus 130% are the brightest bulbs iv'e tried so far, no point using fogs as well now, but not very white.
2)Mtec 55w or 100w whiter but not quite as bright or the spread or distance.
3)Ring xenon extreme somewhere in the middle.
probably try osram next.
