Niki mentioned in another thread with the right supporting hardware (Decat is part of it), this is good for 460bhp.

With 420bhp, must be a bit of a weapon on the road :drool:

Sorry for reviving an old thread but were you running the HTA with stock CDL internals?

Yh Dan was running this on standard internals


Had the ED30, but not got the balls.

Mk5 silver 5door Ed30 1707- now sold

Hi Tommy

Yh Dan was running this on standard internals

Did he ever run into any problems, e.g. bent rods? I'm contemplating fitting a gtx3071r to a CDL with stock internals but I don't know ho far you can push the stock rods and pistons. Ive spoke with Steve @ Statlers and he has done plenty of big turbo conversions to CDL's running stock internals. He said all you really need to do is fit ARP head studs, a Cometic compression reduction head gasket, dial the boost down, and your good to go.

I would add ARP rod bolts to that list too.

Already ordered some along with a custom head gasket. Just need to decide on the turbo now
