Looking full on 'VWR cup car' now Jay, very niche  :happy2:

Guess it makes it hard to keep a low profile with road rage/grudges/netflix and chilling birds if you get into some issues
... I'm happy blending in with an everyday black Audi

The michelin man kinna looks cool, especially against rising blue! Let him eat and live for a bit longer.

I'm just proud after all this time you haven't de-wipered  :P :signLOL:

Car behaved itself well.
PS4's were brilliant on the front, stuck well but did feel a bit roly poly.
AD08R were good on the back, back end was dead planted. I think with 245/40 AD08R on the front it will really help.
Currently we are 235/40 F and 245/40 R.

When I ran 245/40 Direzza 03g it was so planted, but they are too expensive for daily use so while I only have 1 set of tyres I think the AD08Rs are a great compromise.

I've moaned about it elsewhere but oil temps are driving me mental.
I am booked in early November with Alex for oil cooler.

Once that's in I should be fine and able to keep on it a lot more.

Also my EGT protection was kicking in a lot, repeated long hard pulls get a bit much for it (understandable really).

i have specified when we port the head we fit oversized valves we are going up 0.8/0.9mm i believe.
Not sure what difference it will make and it's double the price as the valves are around 60EUR each but balls out and all that.

Is the Valve size it's limitation? What about cams?

We just want as much air into and exhaust out of as possible

We are sorting upgraded cams
We had some ready to be machined but the costs are such that we've found one someone has already had some reprofiled. We are in the process of precuring these instead.

We.....

OK.. but has anyone found the limitation of the valves? i.e do they bottle neck at 300? or what? Or are they good for 350?

Yes me and my chin are doing it.

No-one knows. no-one has publically pushed the engine as far as we are going to.
Headflow is an issue we know this.
so while porting it makes sense to fit oversized valves.

We are doing a test this coming Saturday.
Currently my lambda is around 1.1
we are running a 0.9 lambda tune with no egt protection (dummy egt sensor) to see how much extra power it produces (if any).
People in europe claim 280+ from stock fuel pump on gtb2260 when myself as well as bobby and other tuners (including darkside) cannot do that on stock pump safely.

as we are on cp3 fuel pump already have more fuel than these other tuners ...we find no more airflow available.....
so we must test.

we will see. :-)

After the test i am reverting back to current map and functional egt sensor as i drive too fast to not have the sensible software on.
