Not much of an update but just something I wanted to share.

Went for a nice drive yesterday evening since it was such a nice day, only for about 45 minutes but when I got out of the car I was stunned. Before I left the car was pretty clean maybe 10 bugs on the front. Looks like i massacred the entire population.

Also saw this yesterday, it was between 37 and 37.5 for 15 minutes while I was in the car so not just because it was sitting in the sun for ages.

When you drive across the top of a lake to clean the AMG's Dan, it's inevitable    :rolleye: :rolleye: :rolleye:

Where did you get the carbon wing mirror covers? Really like the look of them.

Did they just fit over the ones already on, or do you have to remove the original covers and fit these?

Cheers

Theyre a full replacement so you need to remove the originals,  eBay: http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item.view&id=161750488370&alt=web

I'm a bit upset now I've looked because I paid £50 more than that, I don't know why but they just dropped the price hugely.

Don't want to make you feel worse, by the mk6 Golf ones are even cheaper (£40 a set). May grab some for the Golf R if you seem to like the quality of your ones. :happy2:

Moving over to Flickr, sorry for the broken picture links!

I actually sent him a message asking why they dropped so much

Yeah so far they're great, finish is spot on, they fit perfectly and no issues so far. It'll take a few months of bugs/ stones and washing to see if they'll last but so far so good.

@dansmith180 Your running 340mm disks? Dont TTRS brakes come with 370 standard?

I'm assuming the only thing you needed to make them work was different brake lines?  :happy2:

Yes mate I'm running 340mm Audi TTS discs instead of the standard 370mm. You need the DaveB brackets which are available from Alex @vRSAlex at AKS tuning and I'd I remember correctly came with the hoses as well. They cost me £260 posted + £140 for the discs so still cheaper than new TTRS discs and lighter.

No real update just gave her an oil change and took a few pictures from the last couple of weeks. Have a few interior bits planned hopefully, otherwise just some maintenance for the foreseeable future as I've still gotta deal with some tickets and hoping to do a European road trip including a vistit to Spa and Wolfsburg next year.

Gave her a night wash

Really liked the way she looked when I parked here for some reason.

If you'll take £300 a shiny Charizard and a handjob then I'll take them

I would love them but could only afford about 40% of them at the moment.

Hmm, that is a tempting offer... But I'm not into Pokemon I'm afraid. :signLOL: Go dig down the back of the sofa or something, you'll soon find the money.
