eml and boost leaks found
« on: March 29, 2015, 06:51:43 pm »
Recently my eml light kept coming on. Also car felt a bit flat up top. I done a boost leak test today and found the leaks. One was on the Maf connection where the sensor slots in to my itg intake.
The other was the dv take off just before the turbo on the air intake.

Iv fixed both of the leaks and was just wondering if those leaks would cause me eml light coming on as unmetered air would be getting sucked in. Also would that cause my car feeling a bit flat up past 4k.

Sorry, I don't have an answer to your question.

But, I wondered how you do a boost leak check?

I took the air filter out and put a blanking plug in it with a valve in it so I can connect my compressor. Then you cap of the rear pcv. Leave the oil cap of as well. That's how I done mine pump her up to 25psi
