Replacing my DV
« on: March 29, 2015, 07:13:38 pm »
Hey, just looking for some help regarding the Diverter Valve.

I have had the car revo'ed and I have heard that the DV on the MK5 gti is weak against the map.

Looking at buying this, I believe the "D" is the one to go for:

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/F-A4-TT-A3-A5-VW-Beetle-Golf-Jetta-Passat-GTI-Diverter-Turbo-Cut-off-Valve-New-/201278413142?_trksid=p2054897.l4275

For £40 its probably worth just replacing my stock one.

Many thanks

Try Awesome GTI or even your local VW dealer. The one in the link is located in China, may take a while to arrive

I put a forge  dv valve spacer (blow off valve) and it had a boost leak,
I then took the stock dv off to find the rubber diaphragm has split (is a common problem with the original valves) so I ordered a new on from VW themselves and it looks the same as that one you are looking at on eBay, it's a redesigned one so they don't split as easy and that cost me 40 pound so if I was you I would buy one from dealer for the same price or you can get a kit to repair yours to make it withstand the increase In boost

Hope this helps it's my first reply on here
