So tonight my mate and I fitted my RAMAIR 90mm oversize induction kit.
Bit of a pain in parts, but all in all was done in about 2 hours.
Main problem was two simple things really.
Getting the engine cover off! Damn rubber grommet things grip like mad at the front.
And also getting the original pipe off at the back of the engine. Had to twist for ages to remove it.

The actual fitting of the kit was relatively straight forward.
Very snug fit though, not much room to play with.

Can't fault the design really. Built well and the heat shields are smartly made.
And the head is just huge to be quite frank. Which I love.
It dumps hard now, love the sound. I'm like a big kid again!

Car also feels noticeably more responsive when flooring it.
Seems quicker.

Photos from tonight:

all fitted:

Close up of head:

Need to look at getting a TTRS cover soon, as I like to keep it all looking nice and tidy under the hood.

Should have another small addition to the car arriving tomorrow or Thursday hopefully too.

This weekend I'll be fitting some uprated RS3 top mounts too. Busy week!

So, as I haven't updated in ages, figured I would give y'all some photos of the winter detail I had on my car by my mate @ Shine And Revive in the West Mids.
Unfortunately decided to throw it down on the day, so work was done under the cover a large gazebo!
Did a cracking job and even managed to get many of the light scratches out of my paintwork, thanks to a machine polish :)

I know how you're all suckers for photos  :signLOL:

Beading goodness

Also should be able to pop back up tomorrow with a new part installed
Weather permitting .....

Few other parts inbound within the next month or two as well.
Exciting times, got a lot planned this year!!

So, a small update. Bought some pressed metal plates and the ABT Wolfsburg surrounds.
Very happy with the finish on the plates
Plate surrounds I'm also pleased with.

Got a few other parts still to fit, just finding the time to do them!

I really like the look of the plates with those surrounds... Might be copying you soon  :rolleye:

Quick question how do the surround mount onto the bumper?

Quick question how do the surround mount onto the bumper?

Just have to un-screw the plate on the back, then screw in one of the surrounds. Slot the plate in the side then.

On the front, unscrew the plate, then un-screw the front OEM surround. And replace with new surround :)

Finally after a month and a half, I've got the front arches rolled and new 3SDM 0.06 wheels fitted. Been torture not being able to fit them.
Had to buy the Superpro adjustable balljoints as well to get the fronts to fit, as it happens, the standard balljoints were a fail on my MOT last week so just as well I bought them! Below are some pictures from today.

Also, I am aware the wheels are facing opposite directions. I thought it looked pretty cool when driving to see the effect it gives of them spinning in opposite directions, but my OCD is really kicking in, so swapping the backs over tomorrow so facing same way lol. Damn OCD.

New FK droplinks on front as standard OEM ones were fooooked:

Shot of how the arch looks now its rolled:

Shot of the now fat ass and camber:

Shot down side of the car:

And another:

Stanced nicely:

And final shot:

Will take another few shots tomorrow once backs are swapped over.

Also never got round to posting few other mods I did a couple weeks back.
Fitted R32 taillights, courtesy of @GarethB , smooth sale and sound guy. Would recommend if he has any future sales.
Also sold me his open fog grilles
Easy to fit both, and I'm pure dumb when it comes to fitting things myself lol.

Shot of the R32 taillights in, though not sure the photo does the colour difference justice:

Shot of standard fog grilles:

Shot of open fog grilles:

And a close up:

Have also got the Whiteline 24mm RARB fitted, but forgot to take photos when it was fitted, and also forgot today when the car was jacked up .... swear I have a memory like a sieve!
Should hopefully have a few other things to add to the ever growing list in the next month or so.

Gave the car a good clean today, pleased with the results and shine from just using snowfoam and Meguiars gold class.

Bit gutted that I don't think I'm going to be able to get the drivers side arch re-sprayed in time for Early Edition next weekend, but not much can be done about it.
Should have a few other updates before the Sunday done on the car though with any luck.

Soooo a little bit to update.

Forgot to take pictures of before and after, but both my front arches have now been repaired and resprayed. Was really getting me down as it was letting the cars look down, but the guy I know has done a perfect job, which I'm over the moon about. Even got the little kink out the metal.

Only other thing to update on is I've now got my smoothed grill on, which makes me love the front end look even more  here's a photo:

Few things in the pipeline before Players @Goodwood on 10th June, so should hopefully have some more updates between now and then to share.
Other than that, obligatory photos of the car when the ball of fire that decided to show up at the weekend  :signLOL:
