Last Poster: gtipirelli in Mk5 General Area on Yesterday at 06:43:46 PM
Probably depends on how low mileage the GTi is and what spec it is compared to the ED30 and Pirelli. I own a Pirelli with almost 80 k miles and other than a few rattles and stone chips for the age and mileage would stand up against any std GTi

The special editions are very nice and have the subtle body kits that really stand them apart

Also, that sort of miles

Superchips is the only company I've seen that offer a mechanical breakdown warranty if it's proven their the remap caused it.

That is the difference between an established brand that can afford professional

Interesting!

If you’ve had no issues why downgrade?

I’ve had both OEM and third party, the third party unit I had outlasted the OEM part by an order of magnitude, and has been strong until the plastic plunger snapped.

Is there a guide anywhere on replacing the master? I’m going to give it a go this weekend and see if I can make a metal plunger for t

Thanks chaps.

Took the junk out of the boot, and lifted the carpet up, and 'hey presto', it's in there next to the jack, with that little wirey thing for getting the plastic inserts out. Space saver wheel in there - never been on.

I always keep a tyre inflator / compressor in the boot, in case anyone was thinking 'he never checks the pressure on his spare' h

Someone I know has a second hand RNS510 they are selling at a very good price. They had to take it out their T5 as they were having the following issues...

a fault code scan always showed the unit to be incorrectly coded as it does not match the T5 electrical architecture. From what

    RNS510 'Q'
    £400.00
    Location: Ipswich
    Postage: £0.00
    Delivery or Collection

    Price includes delivery.

RNS510 version Q with the LED screen.  Not DAB, Not SSD (They are still well over £500).  Scout around ebay.  You will see this is a good price for a genuine RNS.  Plenty of chinese fakes on there for circa £230.  This is the real deal.

    Comes with the GPS receiver.

Comes with the security code card.

    Comes with 2018 maps pre-installed.

Comes with a ton of cheesy house music as I forgot to wipe the HDD.

Comes with anti-battery drain software.  No need to muck about with newer CAN gateways.  I have the original 2007 gateway in my Edition 30 and the car has been left at Heathrow (with this radio) for 2 weeks with zero drain issues.  I was surprised it was still there when I got back, lol.

I am heading off to New York on Saturday for 9 days, so if someone wants this now, the last posting opportunity is Saturday morning, otherwise shipping will have to wait until 8th May.

    Cheers!
