I'll take so pics.. :happy2:

In the mean time... Without looking at the car (not able to atm), both seats have the large black plug, male, on them, and the only button on both seats are the circle with the four indents. They are manual for back and forward and tilt. But I believe they do have the electric lumbar.

The loom itself seems to be rhd as the female b

The milltek's are 2.75" diameter which is just under 70mm. It might be ok depending on the outer diameter of the Remus pipe.

I think the cat pipe slide over the centre section pipe, so you might get away with a clamp and some exhaust paste?

034 mounts are £270 ish? The Powerflex inserts are £65 delivered from PSI Tuning. Sure you could find a standard engine mount for a lot less than £200?

You could sell the Revo engine mounts to cover either option anyway

Yep the MK5 B8 was dropped and now uses the MK6 part no.  It was part of my researching before I eventually settled on the VWR kit, and then the Ohlins.  I looked into MANY options but having had B8s in the past, I wanted something more forgiving over high speed impacts.

Cheers for the suggestions lads! I just got two quotes at the moment. From pristine and scuff'N'scratch.
Now, my GTI is tornado red and here are the options:

matte black
gloss black
shadow chrome
rota drift bronze (gloss/matte)

Any suggestions? I have zero experience in this but dont want it too stand

I thought this may have been a cheap-ish way of getting Android Auto but it would appear I would need to update a few things to make it all work properly - Mk6 MF steering wheel since I have the std MFSW with 8 buttons, clock spring, steering module, Canbus gateway and so on.

Since my chinese unit still does the job, I'll continue with that for now.

Re: Popping noise in exhaust in idle
Last Poster: Pudding in Mk5 General Area on Today at 09:42:52 AM
The car is running fine. There is a slight vibration underneath when stationary and car is pulling as it should do; in terms of performance I can't complain really. All the down pipes and exhaust are standard nothing modified. The spark plug that I referred to earlier as being "toast" was due to

Tab repair kit was like £25 or so, if you find one with tabs broken. I did it on both of my headlights and it was grand.

Yep, if one is working then the other is likely blocked.  The 'fan jet' style are quite sensitive to some types of screenwash additive and can block easily.

Hope this helps.

Yeah seems the consensus and asked a garage that do MOTs and the gist is most don't even do a proper beam pattern check let alone light temperature or intensity check above 2000 lumens etc. Guess it's down to any bored old bill who want to be frustrating but I guess if the lights are between 4000

What Kenwood did you get?

MPG and temp issues?
Last Poster: Leroy in Mk5 General Area on Yesterday at 10:18:14 PM
What mpg should I be getting, just picked up the rents from the airport, 100 mile round trip on the m6, in 6th, doing 50mph in a speed trap area, couldn’t get above 35mpg?

Noticed the temp gauge dropping to 0 the faster I went and go up to halfway on idle and slower speeds and occasional big waft of fuel?

Is the thermostat sensor off causing overfuelling? I’

Considered a unit that uses nav on your phone, and displays on screen?

E.g. The £300 pioneer SPH-DA120 is a great bit of kit. Apple CarPlay and android auto compatible - which means you connect your phone w

Something like these: http://www.bold-sport.com/store/index.php?route=product/product&product_id=61

Just don't fancy paying import/tax/delivery costs if anyone has any going spare/taking them out of a Golf in the UK.

I bought a C variant from skoda for my 07 plate mk5 so I'll tell you if it's fine, I'm almost sure it will be.

The one that snapped off was a B not A anyway for me.

Engine management light on the fault is showing inconsistent signal between crank and cam sensors idling lumpy but drives fine. Had 000's spent on her including crank and cam sensor timing belt timing chain 3 tyres with approx 2000 miles or less on them, new rear discs pads calipers, new rear springs. Ram air oversized induction kit (still have original airbox) Red gti matts.
I really dont want to part with the car its my pride and joy but unfortunately I've run out of money to throw at her, the mot is running out on the 17th of october and will not pass another due to the emissions caused by the fault.
Any further questions please drop me a message on here or email Rclewis2412@gmail.com
Many thanks
PRICE DROP!x2 Quad Milltek Sport Exhaust with matching sprayed ABT Valance
Location: Manchester, UK
Collection Only

Hi guys,

Unique one here. Sold my 2.0TSFI Mk5 Golf GTI now, so stripped the exhaust and valance for sale.

This is a Milltek exhaust, bought from by AwesomeGTI.com with a matching ABT rear valance which has been sprayed in the same factory colour black as my mk5 Golf GTI.

Pictures were pretty hard to take, especially the one with my forum user name on but hopefully they do it justice. The look and sound is beyond awesome without being over the top!

Genuine BBS CK011 18" Pick up only Ayrshire
Location: Ayrshire
Collection Only

Set of Genuine BBS CK011 18" x 8" ET 44 5x112 complete with BBS carbon inserts (couple of minor surface scratches on these).  I am selling these as "requiring a refurb".  The tyres are 225/40/18 Pirelli Nero Zero and are legal with approximately 3mm however, they are needing replacing.  Given the tyre life and condition of the wheels, I have priced these accordingly.

All have some kerbing, varying from minor to one having kerbing and a chip about the size of 5p.  There are no big gouges, cracks, buckles or welds in these wheels and from 5m they looked mint before a run in with a kerb.  I ran these on my 2010 S3 but they will fit other VAG cars. Please check fitment before buying.

I'm not willing to post these, pick up only - they fit inside S3 with back seats down/parcel shelf out so will easily fit inside a Golf.  Located in Ayrshire.

I have only given these a quick clean, given they are being sold as requiring a refub.
2007 (57) Golf GTi Edition30 No 1411, DSG, 78k, 5dr. NOW £7250
Location: Stafford
Collection Only

For sale is my 2007 (57) Golf GTi Edition 30. Its number 1411, DSG, Tornado Red with 5 doors.

Price is £7250, but offers welcome.

Superbly specced with many factory extras including genuine ED30 half leather heated seats, electric sunroof and much more. I have owned it since April but I’m looking to buy a house in the next 6 months so unfortunately something has to give. I have loved every minute of ownership and will genuinely be sad to see it go. I’m in no rush to sell, but will listen to sensible offers. My phone number is 07875 500130. I don’t get much chance to use it at work, so text is usually better.

The car is in fantastic condition. There is no rust in the usual places (wings, sills), and would still be covered by VW’s 12 Year Anti-Corrosion warranty should any appear. It has got a few marks on the front end from stone chips, and one small mark on the rear bumper. Other than this, it is in fantastic condition and is hard to fault.

Few bits about the car:

78000 miles. This will increase as still being used.

5+ owners and unfortunately only 1 key.

MOT until 7th April 2018. Only advisory this year were the fact that there are aftermarket HID headlights fitted.

Highline Dash

DSG (with an R Tech Map on the gearbox), This was serviced at 41,000 and 71,130.

5 door in Tornado Red

Factory Electric Sunroof, Electric Folding/Heated mirrors.
Lowered on H and R Springs, WALK Kit, along with H And R ARB F and R. It goes round corners very well.

HID Xenon Headlights. These are aftermarket units, but look identical to the OEM lights. They are currently running 5000k bulbs and only a few weeks back I replaced the ballast on one side. The side lights do flicker from time to time, but work as they should and look fantastic.

Pescara OEM wheels which are in superb condition. Few marks to the fronts but don’t detract from the look at all. Running Michelin Pilot Sport 4’s on the front. These have seen 4000 miles only and then Firestones on the back. These have seen 6000 miles. Loads of tread left on all 4 tyres and no sign of any premature wear on the insides either.

Pioneer DA-120 App Radio 4 fitted. This works seamlessly and has Apple Carplay which is just fantastic. The car does have a MFSW but it currently not connected due to the aftermarket stereo.

The car is currently stock. It was mapped in the past but has recently been put back to stock by the guys at Midland VW (they are a revo dealer).
The guys at Midland VW can vouch for this car too. Since I have owned it, they have done all of the work for me.

Service wise it has been very well maintained. Especially since being in my hands along with the previous owner. Cambelt was done at 46700. The Cam Follower was replaced in October last year at just over 70000 miles, along with a full service being carried out at 66680 miles. Millars Nanodrive oil (5w40), new fuel filter, new spark plugs and a new pollen filter were all fitted at this time too. It also had a new CV Boot fitted at 72412 miles.

Since I have owned the car, it has been maintained regardless of cost. I had the Thermostat, Cam Chain, Cam Chain Tensioner, Cam Housing Gasket, Cam Adjuster Bolt, Rocker Gasket and the Lower Timing Case Cover replaced at 73512 miles. I also had an Oil and filter change done at the same time. Again, Millars Nanodrive 5w40 was used and a Mann Oil Filter was fitted.

Just last month, I had a new Rev G Diverter Valve fitted along with new Pagid Pads and Discs on the front. I also had both the front droplinks replaced on the front.

I have also kept on top of cleaning the car. Weekly washing including the use of Auto Finesse and Poorboys products. Trust me, I can show you plenty of photos. It comes out superbly and gets plenty of looks while driving around.

Points to note, the Air con sensor could do with replacing. The air con currently doesn’t work as the sensor is blocked. The guys at Midland VW are confident that the condenser is fine (these are a known weak point) and with a new sensor and a re-gas, it will work bang on.

Happy to answer any questions people may have.
