When do you buy the hairdressers  :ashamed:

It's funny, I'm at peace with the fact it's a hairdresser car. Should make it all the more funny when we're hopefully passing more expensive metal on

I've said it before, but your car is stunning. Perfect example of an ed30.

The pads sound good. Hopefully shave a bit off your lap times!

Last one, I forgot: Smooth grill, ie the US spec one. Basically the same as ours but without the number plate plinth.

Obviously you'd fit a number plate in line with the law, but for show purposes it's a nice clean look. Also a variation of that is to fit a 3/4 size number plate. Again, probably not strictly road legal so only for shows Same deal with pressed pl

Got round to fitting my new mats today, when I bought the car it didn't have any mats in it so when I part exchanged the Fabia I took the mats out of that one.

I've had these mats since they came with my first car so they don't fit the golf perfectly but they're better than having none in there. I will now use them as my winter set and the new ones from now until then.<

Hi, this chap is really good and is widely respected on VW groups around the country. He did a lot of keys for the guys on the TT forum in a similar situation as yourself or just want a spare at a really good price. His names Craig and it's a family business, he does make it down your way quite a bit a

Last Poster: dools225 in Mk5 General Area on Yesterday at 06:56:15 PM
Not today but over the last week -

New rear calipers, discs and pads. Passenger side was sticking, discovered whilst changing that previous owner had fitted 10mm thick discs instead of 12mm. Deep cleaned alloys whilst off with fallout to get them looking fresh again

I'm always interested in learning how to do something, wouldn't mind learning how to service my car. What equipment and tools would I need ?

What a great car... (both mine and generally of course)

      Just serviced and MOT'd.

If you have any questions let me know.

      Autotrader advert:

Probably the best all round car I have ever owned. The DSG box is a must IMO. It has a full service history and has essentially led a very un stressed life up and down the M1 on my commute. Just serviced, MOT'd and valeted. The photos are on my driveway which is currently a bit of a building site so apologies for the mud. There are a few minor marks on the outside which I have tried to show in the photos.Generally the car is in great condition. It has a bluefin superchips upgrade so produces around 300bhp. I have fitted an upgraded VW bluetooth system which means you can play music straight off your phone. This is non standard and not available with the standard vw bluetooth prep.

I just want to say that unless you want to buy the wheels then please do not comment.

These are pretty rare and don't seem to come up very often and I'm massively conflicted selling them but these will look great on any car coming into the show season so ideal time to pick a set up.

No kerb marks or repairs as the pictures will show.
Comes with another set of bolts and locking nuts aswell.

Pricing up a new set with cheap tyres is just under £1300. With premium tyres as above is just under £1500.
