Might look at replacing the valve first. Is the correct part no. for the N80 valve 06E-906-517-A? Thanks.

Check the plastic hose that comes off the vacuum pump (the metal housing in front of the mechanical fuel pump) as it likes to split.   If the brakes are solid, i.e. no servo assistance, then it does sound like a huge air leak to me, hence the crap running.

As for the dash lights, you gotta be careful pulling the battery on these cars.  They don't like it.  Pull it again,

Re: Fuel pump issue
Last Poster: Pudding in Mk5 General Area on Yesterday at 07:48:20 PM
Yep.  I suspect it is worn out / lazy and needs a full current kick to bring it to life.   As above, the PWM controller does not give the pump full current unless commanded so by the ECU.  I think a new pump will sort you out  :happy2:

Last Poster: Pudding in Product Reviews on Yesterday at 07:29:49 PM
Cheers buddy.  It's taken me a good few hours to upload that due to the connection drop out issues

It is so frustrating.  It is easily the best intake on the market in terms of refinement and power increases.  I would love to give it the full Pudding endorsement, but it requires too much hacking and pissing about to earn my full approval.  If it was a cheap £20

What is the aftermarket stuff?  Worth rebuilding?  Could be a good time to upgrade  :drinking:

Best thing with the springs is to get them from VW, they will know the right ones based on your year and VIN Number.   Probably not a good idea to rely on internet information because I find it's often incorrect when I go to the dealer with it.  Springs from VW aren't cheap tho

4th.gen door cmodules - want the folding mirros to close when I take the ignitio
Last Poster: Christiank in Mk5 General Area on Yesterday at 06:20:51 PM
Hey.
Anyone ever tried fitting the 4th gen door modules that allows you to have the mirrors fold in when the ignition is off?

I know the 3rd gen can fold by holding the lock button on the key down for a few seconds, but would be nice if it did it as soon the ignition was taken or when the cars locked

I'm converted to 5 door where the MK7 is concerned, looking at those examples above.  Maybe it's just white, but 5 door looks better.  I concede

Did some testing of the Revo F (Fuel) settings with stage 2+.

Wide open throttle, 3000rpm onwards.

F9 requests 0.88 lambda, or 12.9 AFR
F8 requests 0.85 lambda, or 12.5 AFR
F7 requests 0.82 lambda, or 12 AFR
F6 requests 0.79 lambda, or 11.5 AFR

Didn't go any richer than that, but can only assume it's low 11s, high 10s the richer you g

Since the weather is too cold for the Porsche, I spent a lot of time with the Golf this week.
In doing so, I also prepared it for the next track day season... To be more precise, BRAKES.
I went with the usual DaveB J Hooked rotors and Pagid RS29 on the nqsbbk calipers, on the front.

I had to do that on my passenger side due to clear coat peel as well.  Dead easy as per the video.  I used VW rattle cans and the paint match and finish were spot on  :happy2:

Thanks    It's really flexible and being plastic, it won't collapse with heavy boost like rubber flexis do  :happy2:

I also have a couple of options for spacing the bracket up to clear the coolant line.  Rubber couplers to improve noise isolation

Re: Rough idle (again)
Last Poster: Pudding in Mk5 General Area on February 23, 2018, 05:53:43 PM
If the engine behaved like that pulling the maf, it was using it to measure load, which suggests it's fine.   If you unplug the maf and nothing happens, the ECU is not using it and basing load measurement from the throttle instead.....which is not ideal, but it works.   Try pulling the battery for 30 mins which will force the ECU to recheck and relearn all of the sensor inputs.

Please examine the pictures and make sure you are totally happy with this item as i have had issues before and it ends up being hasstle for both me and the buyer i would be more than happy for you to collect this bumper that way there are no issues, postage is also not an issue im happy to pack it securely but will not guarantee it wont get damaged posted several before never an issue, any other questions please contact me for more pictures etc.

Full extensive VWSH with cambelt and water pump done in the last 20k miles by VW. A folder full of service receipts ££££'s spent on servicing throughout it's life. Do not be put off by the miles, it's been well looked after and it's only ever seen VW for it's servicing.

Mechatronics unit was replaced by previous owner at 90k miles.

Nothing is worse travelling to go see a car to NOT find it exactly how it's described so here are it's bad bits.

- Wheels could do with a refurb if you are an overly fussy person.

- Ever so small rip on the drivers seat bolster.

Overall it's in really good condition, odd age related mark but it's been well looked after and you will have known this if you come across the car over the last few months from what I've done to it.

Stage one machine polish just carried out today by the guys at PWX Detailing in Birmingham.

Feel free to message me if you have any questions. Cash sale only, unless you are offering me a ridiculous deal on a PX that I would be mad to turn down.

Hi all, Sold my edition 30 the other month to move to something a little bit more practical whilst buying our first home. Off the back of that and sorting through storage I've found a few bits I've collected over the years. Give me a shout if you've got questions about anything! All listed for collection in the Kent area (Ashford/Maidstone) although I can make arrangements for the items to be in Whitstable/Herne bay if needed. I'm happy to courier all items but this will need to be organised by the buyer, the smaller items I can post but these charges will also be covered by the buyer. I can provide quotes based on location.

Purchased in 2014 but was not fitted to car until 2015. Was on my edition 30 for 2 years, covering roughly 16,000 miles. All working perfectly just needing a quick wipe over.

RRP £450 from Vemon Motorsport when purchased.

      MK5 GTI Edition 30 Stage 2+ DSG
      £8750.00
      Location: Somerset
      Collection Only

Toying with the idea of getting rid of my Stage 2+ Edition 30 as I need a van.

This was purchased in January this year as a completely standard car and all stage 2+ modifications were done at 100k running 370bhp/390ftlb. Current mileage is 110k.

Full service history, regular oil changes every 5k by myself, cam follower changed at 100k and 105k (no wear but better to be safe than sorry!) and checked recently but no wear. Cam chain and tensioner was done at 92k and cambelt and waterpump was done around the same time. Serviced last week at TSR with a new oil pickup pipe and oil change. Replaced PCV last week to latest revision. DSG serviced every 40k.  3 previous owners and MOT'd until April 2018.

Front brake upgrade to MK7 GTI PP calipers with 340mm discs. Brake fluid changed to ATE Typ 200.

Has APR Stage 2+ software with the following hardware:
      - Ramair Oversized Induction Kit
      - Loba HPFP
      - RS4 Fuel Pressure Relief Valve
      - Custom 3" tig welded turbo back R32 style exhaust system by TSR
      - Custom wellycooler intercooler setup by TSR with hard pipes.
      - Custom TSR DSG Remap

Also has a few other modifications:
      - Relentless Coilovers full geo setup by TSR
      - Superpro lower engine mount
      - Superpro rear bushes
      - Boot pop kit
      - R32 rear bumper
      - De wipered
      - LED interior/exterior lights
      - Pioneer SPH-DA120 Headunit

Probably loads missed but it really is a excellent car with no expense spared in my ownership or previous owners. Only bad points are wheels could do with a refurb, and front end has a few stone chips.

£8750 OVNO don't message me with stupid offers, would swap for a DSG T5 or Caddy Maxi DSG.
