Hi all,
I'm thinking about ordering some new wheels for my black 3 door MK5 GTI, my friend has pointed me in the direction of CMWheels based in NI. Never heard about him but apparently sells high quality replica wheels.
In particular I want to get these on my car but have no idea if they will fit:

I currently have these tyres on all 4 of my current horseshoe alloys:
Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 3 92Y XL 225/40YR18
Is anyone able to advise if they will fit/opinions? They are basically BBS CH reps. Was also considering getting the matt grey ones as I currently have matt grey horseshoes, what do you think?

Thanks in advance your opinions would be appreciated,
Matt.

They will be fine if you get them 'square', so same width and offset all round - 8J et42.
I've got BBS VZ which are 18x8 et44 all round and they're an easy fit on H&R springs (about 30mm down) with 225 40 tyres. I could probably space them a good 5-8mm if I wanted to. The width and offset of these reps at 8 wide, et42, would poke 2 mill more... So yeah, no issue with fitment.
Can the company tell you how much they weigh though? Some reps are ok, some are too heavy!

Oh and make sure they provide spigot rings that take the inner bore to 57.1mm.
And check what bolts they take, most aftermarket stuff needs 60 degree taper seat bolts; it'd be a bad idea to use your oem radius seat bolts if that's the case here.
M14x1.5 28mm thread length 60 degree taper bolts is what you need if so.

Thank you, couldn't have asked for a more detailed reply.
The weight is a very good point, will ask about that. I'm tempted by getting All Round - 18x8 ET42 to make it square like you said which conveniently these matt grey ones have:

Did they tell you how much the CH reps weighed? I'd be after these too but also want to reduce un-sprung weight, not increase it!

I've used Cm wheels when I had my Bmw E90 literally within 3 days of payment they arrived I think his name is Chris

Yeah I got a set of Bronze 19" CSL reps for my E92 from them and the service was great.
