Title: Airbag warning light diagnostic

Hi guys I’ve the airbag warning light on my 2006 golf gti, can anyone recommend someone/company in the manchester/northwest area who could 1 diagnose and 2 fix it for reasonable money?

It's normally just some wiring bad connection, from the airbag itself to the CAN gateway. An auto electrician should be able to find the issue. I think most of the times the problem is just in the plug under the seat.

Anyone with a £5 bluetooth or a £15 china VCDS cable can give you a fault code and attempt clearing the fault code

As for cost - could be a 10 minute wiring fix as mentioned, or the airbag/igniter could be goosed and new parts will be many hundreds to replace. Find someone nearby to read the fault codes for you and go from there
