Hi,

Yes correct.

There is a simple electrical "lift pump" that supplies fuel from your tank up to the HPFP.

If the filter is dry, a simple test would be to energise the lift pump (VAG Com maybe?) and disconnect the input fuel line from the lift pump to your fuel filter and direct that into a bowl. If the lift pump is working then you should get ste

The online MOT history checker is a good place to confirm mileage and patterns of use as well as possible maintenance issues.

I Wasn't Going To Get Another Black Car But...
Last Poster: DaveyBoyWonder in Members Rides on Yesterday at 09:35:03 PM
Evening all.
Thought I'd start to put together a build thread for my Golf. Bit of a back story first... We've owned the car for nearly 2 years now (which is pretty good going for us as we normally get bored/circumstances change/cars break well before the 2 year mark!) being bought at first just to be a slightly bigger daily driver for the wife. Our main vehicle is our T5 campe

Re: Cost of a clutch change
Last Poster: Octoparrot in Mk5 General Area on Yesterday at 04:15:29 PM
Well the final cost was £1229.90. The clutch does feel a good bit lighter (as does my wallet) and bites a lot lower down now so much so I stalled it driving away from the garage.  :ashamed:

Mk5 3 door hatch wanted .........not a gti!
Last Poster: amanda in Wanted on Yesterday at 12:58:21 PM
As title .....has anyone got a 1.4 or 1.6 golf in manual and must be petrol. Not too fussy on color but red or black are top faves. Preference is for a low mileage fsh car with lots of history and must be mot’d 😉
Max price would be £2000
Has anyone got anything that will fit my requirements?

P.s it’s not for me but for my son to rep

not sure paid around £120 including the NGK plugs... they may have just been red, will have to have a look

would expect the R8 ones if they were genuine to be a lot more so guessing they are probably a normal set just in red

Re: Chuck Money At It Or Buy Another?
Last Poster: DaveyBoyWonder in Mk5 General Area on Yesterday at 08:11:43 AM
After having another look around at the weekend, for what I think it'd cosy to sort out the buy a that need doing on mine as well as a few choice upgrades (got some Eibachs springs in the garage but going to go straight to AP coilovers I think - had them before on a mk5 platform car and rated them), there's not a lot out there I'd prefer.

Time to get a build thread going
