It occurred to me today that I couldn't remember where my Locking wheelnut was. Usually, I pop these in the glovebox, or in a pocket in the boot, but not there..... Now I don't think there is one. Car is on standard 17 monzas, and has 5 black inserts / bolts / nuts, with star shaped hole. Tapping them, they sound a bit plasticy, so I'm wondering if these are just covers over the bolts, or they are the actual bolts / nuts. Anyone know, please?
Car has good spec, so I would have thought that it would have had locking nuts, but maybe it doesn't, or perhaps the dealer never passed them on to me.........

They’re covers, should have Volkswagen written on them
Pull them out with a hook tool or similar

Do you really mean the locking wheel nut key?
This is usually in with the spare wheel in the boot unless you moved it.

you should have the little hook device in the foam insert next to the jack too. its a piece of wire with a circle section on the back which is designed to pluck out those little wheel nut covers

Thanks chaps.
Took the junk out of the boot, and lifted the carpet up, and 'hey presto', it's in there next to the jack, with that little wirey thing for getting the plastic inserts out. Space saver wheel in there - never been on.
I always keep a tyre inflator / compressor in the boot, in case anyone was thinking 'he never checks the pressure on his spare' ha ha.
Cheers for the helpful comments :drinking:
